WORK IN PROGRESS

Here is another project for our client, a non-profit organization that buys and remodels homes for people with physical and/or mental disabilities to eventually reside in. This is a remodel of an entire house. By the time it's completed, the new residents will be able to enjoy a fully updated home, with all new windows and doors, kitchen cabinets, Granite counter tops, a built-in L-shaped desk with overhead storage, all new fixtures and flooring, and etc.

Pictures showing the kitchen, (above) in progress and additional counter and cabinets, (below). I'm not always a fan of cream colored cabinets, but I really like these in contrast with the Granite that was chosen.

Side Note: When remodeling your own home, deciding on different paint colors and coordinating design elements can be challenging and overwhelming at times. In many cases, the contractor can help you pick palettes that are pleasing to the eye, so that the finished product is beautifully designed with you in mind, even if you yourself are not a designer.

(below) This room has been taped off so the floor tile can be laid, and so it can set without someone disturbing it.

BATHROOM PROJECT BEFORE AND AFTER

AFTER: A sophisticated change using sleek lines and contemporary design elements.

Before: This bathroom was dated and in need of a change....

IF YOU SEE THIS IN YOUR HOUSE.....GET IT FIXED!!

Recently, Don came across a homeowner who, in addition to their carpentry needs, was having electrical problems. Upon further investigation, this is what he discovered. We aren't electricians, but we routinely use a licensed, quality electrician to do what we cannot. Obviously, if you have questionable wiring in your house, it is very likely a fire hazard, and you are risking a house fire by not taking care of it.

ELEGANT DESIGN

This pass-through was originally squared off at the top, so the archway was cased in and recessed, canned lighting and decorative trimwork was added.

The shelf is actually a slab of Onyx that has lit from underneath using L.E.D.'s. Unfortunately for us, all of the pictures that we got of this project were either out of focus or over-exposed, so you can't see the natural details of the Onyx.
